About Paper Heart Family
The goal of Paper Heart Family is to guide you and give you the information you need to succeed on your parenting journey.
I am dedicated to giving you well-researched, accurate information on all things pregnancy, baby and parenting from the perspective of a mother who has been there. Done that.
I have gone through it all in order to give you encouraging, real-life information.
I have panicked though each and every moment of my pregnancy and worried that I was somehow harming my unborn child.
I have stressed over my baby’s sleep, eating, breastfeeding, poop, fussiness, gassiness, you name it.
I have re-entered the workforce and figured out how to juggle parenthood and my career (breast pump in tow at all times) and have sort-of managed my mom guilt.
About Me
Hi! My name is Brenda. I am a mother of 2, and a teacher with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a Master’s degree in Spanish Education.
I have been where you are. Feeling alone in my parenting journey. Feeling unsure of whether or not I was making the right decision. And most recently, desperate for some simple activities to keep my kids unplugged and engaged with the world around them.
I’m in a state of perpetual exhaustion and spend a lot of my time worrying that I’m messing up my kids. But I’m also inexplicably so IN LOVE with being a mom.
I vividly remember researching for HOURS when I became a mom. I also know that not everyone on the Internet gives factual advice and I saw plenty of misinformation. I know that there were times when I came across “advice” that was inaccurate or out-of-date.
Here, you don’t need to worry. I painstakingly research each and every topic that I write about (and include sources) so that you don’t have to. So that the next time that you don’t have a friend to turn to and your Pediatrician’s office can’t be reached, you can find what you need here.
No, I’m not a doctor. But I am a mom dedicated to using researched information and my own parenting experiences to make parenting easier for my readers.
I truly hope that you find my site to be informative, encouraging and supportive, no matter what your parenting style is.
I wish you the very best, mama!
