Free Printable Halloween Activity Book For Kids

Our family LOVES Halloween! We might be the people who start dreaming in August about decorating, even though my willpower keeps me from doing it until the middle of September.

Although, we definitely bought my sons costume for this year in August so I actually might be a Halloween in August kind of girl.  My point is that once even a whiff of Halloween season hits the air (basically when every store starts bringing it out) I’m on the lookout for everything Halloween.

I find it so much fun to do activities that are Halloween themed and I know my son love feeling the spooky vibes too.

This free printable halloween activity book is the perfect way to kick off your Halloween season! It is full of fun things for kids to do like coloring pages, trivia, mad libs, this or that, word search and charades! It’s great for kids of all ages and has parts that are family friendly (and spooky) so it’s a win for everyone!

Free Halloween Activity Book For Kids

Activity books are so much fun for kids and are the perfect way to pass the time on a cold or rainy day. This Halloween activity book is the perfect way for your kiddo to get into the Halloween season and enjoy fun halloween activities, games and even some coloring.

This would be the perfect activity to have printed and ready for a Halloween party or sleep over and would even work great in a classroom. Another thing I love about activity books is that they are a fun way to capture what your child is like in this small moment of time.

Whenever my son completes one, I love to put it in his memento box as a way to remember what things he loved (check out this or that), how he colored, what words he picked for his funny mad libs story and I usually will write his age and year on the back.

The other thing I love about these books are that they have parts that are independent, so its great for when I’m cooking dinner and then they have parts that would be fun to do together (those we do while we eat dinner or after).  It’s a great mix and this Halloween edition has all the spooky vibes I love during the Halloween season!

Cover Coloring Page

This printable halloween activity book screams spooky with a creepy cover!  It has a haunted house, bats and ghost floating around and the font for “My Halloween Activity Book” is just creepy enough to get even the youngest kids in the Halloween spirit!

This page is not just a cover, but is also a fun coloring page.  Once your kiddo sees the cover, they will be all about the Halloween season!

Halloween Trivia

I am a sucker for trivia, especially Halloween trivia! I mean who doesn’t want to know cool things like “How many Kit Kat flavors exist in Japan?” (I was under the impression there was only one Kit Kat so I’m going to be googling that shortly…) or “What vegetable was believed to have superpowers on Halloween?”

Your kiddo will have so much fun answering these trivia  questions and this would even be a fun family activity.  If you want to do this as a family, have your kiddo (or anyone that is at the reading stage) read aloud the question and then let everyone guess.

Your kiddo can even tally next to the answers to see what most people think (nothing like a little math practice while getting into the Halloween season).  After everyone has answered, you can turn the book upside down and check the answers.

Get ready to find out some cool facts about the spookiest holiday of the year!

Halloween Mad Libs

This fun Halloween mad libs tells a story of a girl who is thinking back to last years Halloween and getting excited about this years spookiest night of the year. Your kiddo gets to fill in the blank words and then read the story, which is where the laughs begin.

If you are not familiar with mad libs, it’s a super easy game to play!  Throughout the story there are missing words with a line and a descriptor under the line. The descriptor might be something like “noun” or “feeling” and your child would put in a word that fits this descriptor.

After all the words are filled in, they get to read it out loud and it’s always really funny to listen to. The key to mad libs is not reading the story or sentences prior to filling in the word.  This game can be done with kids of all ages, including littles!

When my son was younger I use to give him two options for each descriptor and he would choose.  He loved when I read him the story after and thought it was so fun he got to help “write” it!

Halloween This Or That

This or that is one of our favorite family games because we can get to know a ton of things about our son really fast! This Halloween edition is so much fun and gives your kid a chance to think about all their favorite things during the Halloween season.

If you want to make this an interactive game, your child could read the questions out loud and each person playing could answer.  Another way to play is to have your child color in the square that matches them best.

If your kid is not quite a reader, read each one out loud to them and they can color it in.

Halloween Word Search

There is nothing I love more than a word search and this Halloween one captures the spookiest night of the year so perfectly!  A fun way to do a word search is let your child use a highlighter when they find a word and highlight it in the search box.

If they want to embrace the Halloween spirit, they could even use an orange highlighter!

Halloween Charades

This already fun book gets even more epic with some good old fashion charades (with a Halloween twist of course!) There is nothing more fun than a game of charades with family or friends and acting out Halloween actives might be my all time favorite edition!

To play, one person chooses an action and acts it out without talking, while the other players try to guess the action. Who ever guesses first wins and gets to go next.  A great way to keep track of what has been done while playing is to color in the box once someone has acted it out.

Get ready to see your kids acting out funny things like “walking through a spider web” and “doing the thriller dance”!

Halloween Coloring Page

Halloween coloring books are such a fun way to celebrate the Halloween season.  This one is full of cute designs including all the best parts of Halloween like ghosts, skeletons, bats, potions and even candy.

What I love about this page is that it has so many different images and would really take some time to color. As a parent, I can already see myself turning on some fun Halloween music and coloring this with my son. It screams “Happy Halloween”!
