The Easter season is such a fun and magical one! I mean the Easter Bunny comes and brings a basket and hides eggs! Also, it’s often a time for family to get together which means cousins, aunts and uncles all pile in for the Easter holiday.  It’s a great time to be a kid!  As a mom, I’m always on the hunt for free printables or fun Easter activities that we can do as a family.  This fun Easter word scramble is the perfect activity for the whole family. It can be done with little or big kids and as an adult (who loves word games), I find this to be such an easy and enjoyable activity for us all!

How To Use This Printable

This fun Easter themed word scramble is such a great way to celebrate the Easter season and is super easy to use; all you have to do is print it and you are ready to go.  This is a perfect activity to do on Easter morning or anytime during Easter season.  Here are some fun ways to use this printable: 

• Have the Easter bunny bring this and other fun printable Easter games to do after the egg hunt!
• Make this into an Easter egg game!  Give everyone their own copy of the Easter word scramble game and countdown to start. The first person to solve each word gets an Easter egg (filled with whatever you do in your family).   This is a fun activity for older kids (I’m thinking some sibling and cousin competition!) and I like that there’s a lot of opportunities for multiple kids to “win” throughout the game since Easter eggs are given for each correct word.
• For younger kids, provide them a word bank so they can look at the letters. This will help them find the same letters in the scrambled words.  A great interactive way to do this with them is to pick one word (I would start with shorter words to help them get the idea of how a scramble works) and talk about what letters are in it and then go to the scrambled words and point out each letter seeing if there are any matches. My son likes to cross out each letter as we find it, that works great too!
• For classroom use- this would be a fun word work station!  Put the Easter word scramble game in dry erase pockets and give your kids dry erase markers. Another option is throw it through the lamination machine. This way multiple kids could do this throughout your station work and you could put the answer sheet on the back for them to check their work.  A great tip with this is to print on white cardstock so they hold up even better and can be used again in future years.
