He is always so excited to send his letter to Santa Claus and loves to look at a map to see how far the North Pole is.  

After we send the letter off to the North Pole we settle into our Christmas season traditions and wait for Christmas morning. However, this year he is going to get an official letter back FROM Santa Claus talking about all the good things he has done this year and I know that it is going to be so magical watching him open a letter all the way from the North Pole!

I’m always on the hunt for an easy way to make the holiday season even more fun and free Christmas printables are my favorite!  

The Christmas season is so busy and as Christmas approaches it’s hard to find time to plan fun things. I love having easy and fun things to do with my little guy that make this time of year even more magical.  

I love this special editable letter from Santa Claus because it’s something he is going to be SO excited about (like the letter will literally sleep by his bed the entire month of December type of excited.) 

It will also make for a sweet keepsake and it’s great for kids of all ages. 

The other thing I love about this official letter from Santa is that it includes a little information on what Mrs.Claus, the Elves and the Reindeers are doing to get ready for Christmas! Hearing about what they are doing to get ready for Christmas Eve is a fun way to bring them even more to life. 

It also focuses on all the good things your child has done this year like being nice and kind and helpful and working really hard in school.  

I like that it focuses on all these positive character traits and praises this good behavior. I know my son will be so proud when I read this to him because those are character traits we focus on at home too!

My goodness, is it getting busy here at the North Pole. Mrs. Claus has been baking up a storm, the elves have been working non-stop in the toy workshop, Rudolph and the other elves have been resting up for their big fly around the world, and me? Well, I have been busy checking my list twice, trying to find out who’s been naughty and nice! 

A little elf told me that you have been nice and kind and helpful, and that you’re working really hard in school. Because of the glowing reports that I’ve heard, I asked the workshop elves to create something extra special for you. 

Just remember that trying your best and BEING your best is important, even if no one is watching!

Ideas For Using This Printable

The best part about this Santa template is that it requires no prep and minimal material. 

There are so many fun ways you could use this Santa template! Here are some ideas:

• Have your Elf on the Shelf bring the note back from the North Pole!  
• The letter mentions Santa really loved last years cookies so you could have your Elf bring back the letter and cookie supplies!
• Send this letter to your child in the mail!  The post office even has a way to send this so it looks like it even has Santa’s address! Make sure you plan for enough time for this one.
• Your child could write a return letter to Santa after getting this letter. Older kids could write a letter and younger kids could draw a picture.
• You could add your child’s name to the top of the letter for a more personalized letter
